HURRICANE/STORM PREPAREDNESS GUIDELINE FOR THE ANGLER’S REEF COMMUNITY at MM 84.9 - ISLAMORADA, FL 33036

To All Angler’s Reef Property Owners:

As the Angler's Reef community has learned from past hurricanes, a Hurricane Plan needs to be implemented and followed when there is the potential of a serious storm heading our way. Such a plan includes responsibilities not only for the Board and our Property Management team, but also for all owners and their designated rental agents. 

Besides properly securing all windows and doors of your unit, you as an owner are responsible to properly secure or bring inside all outdoor furniture, BBQ’s, kayaks and any other items outside of your unit, including items in your carport(s), which might become wind-blown projectiles. Especially important, slip owners need a plan for removal of all boats (including boats on lifts), floating docks, and any other items in the Angler's lagoon or on the docks within 48 hours of a Hurricane Warning (or sooner); this is for safety and to minimize potential damage to community property and other units from storm surge and winds. If not removed, the vessel may be towed away and other items removed at the owner’s expense and liability; however, neither the POA nor the PM are required to do so.
