Rules and Regulations
WELCOME!
As our guests, we want you to have a great vacation here! We hope this brochure will help you make the most of your visit and ensure that our beautiful community remains not only beautiful, but also safe and enjoyable for all of us. Angler’s Reef is a unique Keys community where some properties are rented, some are owners’ weekend getaways and some are year round residences. So Angler’s is ‘home’ for many of us and we ask that you treat our community as you would your own. When everyone does their part to keep Angler’s safe and neighborly, then everyone wins.
We are not a resort hotel, but a community that loves to be here and enjoy the special beauty and environment that only Angler’s Reef offers. Please share our special place responsibly with us.

Dock, Marina & Beach
·Please, no swimming in the boat basin. There are sharp protrusions at the bottom, boat propellers at the top and some toothy barracuda in between that you don’t want to meet!
·Please throw fish carcasses into the lagoon after poking the eyes and gills of the fish. DO NOT place trimmings into the trash container by the fish cleaning stations, only empty bait boxes and other refuse.
·If you have permission to use one of our slips, please tie up your boat properly to account for changing tides and avoid damage to docks.
·Please do not feed the birds! They only eat and then release over the boats, docks, pool area and possibly your head or someone else's.
·Please keep docks and sea wall clear - don't leave fishing rods, bait, line, hooks, boat /diving items, coolers, etc. No one wants to smell old bait or have a child step on a hook or trip.
·Kayaks & boards at the beach are available to all. You will need to provide the homeowners with a signed waiver in order to obtain the lock code. Kindly relock the kayaks and boards after use and place life jackets back in the dock box. If you rent or bring one, please keep it at your unit when not in use.
·Please keep Angler’s clean & looking great. Please dispose of your litter properly. If you move beach chairs close to the water, please pull them back when leaving (the tide rises!).
·For your safety and the safety of others, no bonfires or fireworks are allowed anywhere in Angler’s.
Pool & General Guidelines
POOL: Please, no glass containers of any kind in the pool area! Beverages may be brought in metal, paper, or plastic containers. Do not let children relieve themselves in the pool and toddlers must were plastic swimmy pants. If broken glass or "poopies" are found in the pool, it must be emptied, cleaned and refilled. Not only will the pool be out of commission during this time, but the cost can exceed $1000 — and you don't want that chargeback.
Please use the shower inside the pool area before entering the pool. To be fair to all, no “saving” of chairs or tables once you leave the pool area, and please make sure to clean up the space you occupied before leaving—
trash bins are just outside the entrance.
RENTERS: Islamorada rental regs limit occupancy in Anglers Reef to 2 adults per legal bedroom plus 2 children, & a 7 nite minimum stay.
PARKING: Park vehicles only in your unit’s driveway, not on the streets or grass or in another driveway. Do not “overhang” into the street. Park extra vehicles outside the gates.
DRIVING: All roads in Angler·s Reef are ONE WAY with 5mph maximum speed — yes, you can drive that slowly to save a child's life! Gate access is one-way: North gate is out and South gate is in. Be patient—gates open slowly.
PETS: Renters and guests are NOT permitted to bring pets to Anglers Reef. Owners are required to pick up after their pets.
GARBAGE: Recycling is mandatory here. All garbage should be securely wrapped in plastic garbage bags and deposited in the labeled containers(s) provided at each unit. Recycles include paper, plastic, glass & cardboard (broken down) and should be placed in the labeled recycle can. Trash is picked up Tuesday and Friday; Recycles are Tuesday only. Be sure your cans are accessible to be placed at curb.
BOAT SLIPS - All boat slips are privately owned and may not be used without the consent of the owner. Please do not attempt to board a boat or floating dock without permission. Dock spigots should always be in the Off position—water in the Keys is quite costly.
EVENTS - No events are to be held on the premises without prior written approval of the HOA·s Board of Directors.
CHILDREN - We love our kids and we need to watch over them, especially since Angler·s Reef is surrounded by water. Please supervise your children. Adult supervision is required at the pool, on the docks and on the beach. No running, bicycling or skateboarding on the docks or sea wall is allowed. Let·s keep our kids safe!
